If not now when? We believe that any company even if extremely successful, will never fully express its potential if it does not integrate into the socio-cultural context in which it is present and does not encourage its growth. We should be the custodians of tomorrow. Like it or not, we have a responsibility to bring about lasting changes in business and society. The concept of giving back is to remember what has been received and to respond creating a virtuous circle that leads in a nice direction. With a belief that the travel industry can be one of the world’s leading industries for social good, we at Nativo19 aim to donate to our selected local charities on every trip. You have our promise that we value every donation, ensuring it is used responsibly and invested wisely so that it goes as far as possible.

The Recommended by NATIVO19 is part of our give-back nonprofit organization whose mission is to celebrate, nurture, and honour particularly high-quality resources that complement and support our community, from the fields of speciality food & wine producers and the hospitality industry. Each award winner receives a certificate and a silver medallion engraved with the Recommended by NATIVO19 Awards insignia.
The Process is simple – The Awards Committee of Recommended by NATIVO19 oversees the administration of the NATIVO19 Consumers Awards, determining policies and procedures for the smooth operation of the program. They are an executive committee team of professionals in the fields of speciality food & wine, customer service and hoteliers, who regularly plan and report the results from the Mystery Auditing process and Consumers Tasting Panel Experiences. Judges chosen by the committee meet after deadlines close to review and vote on the entries to determine the semi-finalists, nominees and winners.

Far too many people are living with food insecurity and don’t know where their next meal is coming from. We believe that everyone, from a single individual to a large corporation has the potential to make a difference in their lives.
Through the agreements with our producers on the profit margin on selected products we sell, by purchasing any product with a one-for-one / buy-one-give-one (Wise Nativo19) sticker, you are helping us to raise money to buy food and household items most urgently needed by vulnerable groups of people within our communities, that live below the poverty line, and local food banks. We cover the basic nutritional needs of unprivileged people, we never donate money, and you are instantly becoming an active link to our one-for-one initiative.
We have applied the One for One campaign also to our Little Free Library donation program. Through a strong collaboration with our local bookshop’s partners, when customers buy a book from a selection of carefully handpicked and reviewed books by our professionals, they will automatically support our ONE FOR ONE Initiative that goes to enrich our little house.
Not just our way to give back, but our way to say thank you!

It’s a wonderful way to extend our blessings to others, and share a little joy with those less fortunate.
One of our give-back programmes aims to make dreams come true for children aged 7-15 who have missed out on childhood fun due to seriously and terminally ill, and to those who have excelled at school both financially unable to take holidays, by offering them short breaks around the region, residential and theatre trips.
Developing a love of books and encouraging children to read for pleasure by providing free book exchanges for places where they can have a meaningful impact, is at the heart of everything we do.
La speranza è che un giorno un bambino senza libri nella sua casa possa passare da una biblioteca di strada locale e scoprire un nuovo mondo di opportunità.
“ books are the way we communicate with the dead. The way that we learn lessons from those who are no longer with us, that humanity has built on itself, progressed, and made knowledge incremental rather than something that has to be relearned, over and over. Some tales are older than most countries, tales that have long outlasted the cultures, and the buildings in which they were first told.”

When daughter Nailah Bella was born in 2014, Rosario Pirrone felt the desire to focus his efforts to give back to society by supporting his favourite local causes focusing on children in need. With the support and inspiration of his young daughter, he focused on something that could be of impact and influence on the community he chose for his daughter to grow up in. He also knew from the very beginning that he wanted to pass on and teach her the commitment involved in a long-lasting cause and how to cultivate a non-stop attitude of ‘giving first’ without any expectation at such a young age. In 2020, during the lock-down quarantine of Covid19, Il Giralibro di Nailah Bella becomes a reality. A non-profit organization committed to promoting and supporting a local community action initiative to encourage the sustainable growth of the socio-cultural context in which we live and work, to build and install artist-designed Little Free Libraries with the most contemporary patterns of the iconic Sicilian carts, to promote and inspires a love of reading, literacy and art in Palermo and around Sicily.
Through Little Free Library book exchanges, millions of books are exchanged each year, profoundly increasing access to books for readers of all ages and backgrounds. We do this through the support of the local communities in which our LFLs are hosted, the contributions of people like you and the many partners who have committed to support our project. Your donation will help fund the construction costs, the non-profit registration fee of the Free Little Library, the books and maintenance. If anyone has a book or two that they think others would enjoy, please send us an email.
Thanks to you, we’re confident that we can reach our goal to support a growing book collection and additional Free Little Libraries that our communities and children will be able to enjoy for many years to come.
